Thai massage
Thai massage, called nuad bo rarn in Thai, is a succession of pressure movements placed on points and meridians, circulatory compressions, movements of joints, stretches and stimulations of reflexes. All this is tied in at a regular rhythm where the breathing of the masseur joins in harmony with that of the patient. The massage is effected over the whole body, from the tips of the toes to the crown, eliminating toxins, liberating the Qi and offering the recipient of the massage a deep sensation of peace both in their body as well as their mind. The duration of a Thai massage session is of one hour. It is carried out with the patient dressed in comfortable clothing, preferably cotton, lying on a tatami or futon on the floor.
