Body tanning

DHA tanning is a system that is 100% natural for tanning without sun and without UVA which allows you to obtain an immediate tan without any risks to the skin in one single session that lasts only 6 minutes. The tan is noticeable immediately after spraying and increases progressively during the following hours, reaching its maximum tone after 24 hours. The main ingredient, DHA or Dihydroxyacetone, is a 100% natural colourless derivative of sugar cane which creates a natural and immediate reaction of darkening or tanning upon contact with the proteins in the skin. This is why it is commonly called sugar-cane tanning. As it acts on the corneal layer, the outermost and most superficial part of the epidermis, the DHA doesn't actually penetrate the skin, thus avoiding risks of allergic reaction. It is important to note that this process does not involve melanin. DHA is not a dye nor a pigment, and therefore everyone obtains their own natural tan without any trace of orangey colouring. As your skin sheds totally every 28 days, the surface layers (almost 25%) exfoliate and are shed naturally every 7-10 days. This explains why this type of tanning lasts between 7 to 10 days, depending in the hydration and care that is taken. The tan does not disappear in the shower. As it is a natural tan, it loses its intensity gradually with the natural flaking-off of the corneal layer of the skin, disappearing after one week.
