1. Life is a habit.
Looking after ourselves shouldn’t be something we do for a couple of months a year, it is more about keeping a healthy lifestyle in the long run. Creating habits and routines is essential to progressively embrace the “slow” culture that results so beneficial for our health.
2. Tasty, but healthy.
Start by watching what you eat, based on your body’s basic needs. Legumes, fruit, vegetable, meat and fish must have their space in your diet, but they don’t have to be boring. Now that healthy food is all the fashion, it is easy to find tasty recipes, which will benefit you in your mission.
3. We are 65% water.
ater is essential. As well as cleaning our body on the inside, it hydrates and helps us feel fuller while we are on a diet. Experts recommend 2 litres a day to keep our body perfectly balanced.
4. Train your body and mind.
Efforts make no sense without exercise. Jogging is one of the best sports around, but if you are short on time or enthusiasm, a 30-minute walk every day has equally good effects. Start your stopwatch, free your mind and enjoy!
5. Leave your obsessions behind.
Any obsession is bad, but it if has anything to do with your body, keep a close watch on it. Objectives are not reached in one day, so, don’t forget that you will need to be constant and keep up the efforts on a daily basis. Results come with time.
6. Eat five times a day.
Skipping a meal has a negative effect on your body because you will be even hungrier for your next meal. This is why you need to get used to eating 5 times a day, controlled and carefully designed meals.
7. Drink tea.
Teas are the best remedy for those moments when you feel peckish. They are packed to the brim with anti-oxidants and satiating effects.
8. Don’t go overboard with alcoholic drinks.
Especially now that summer is just round the corner with its warm terraces, cocktails... and friends. If you can’t resist, choose beer or low alcohol content drinks and sip them, don't gulp them down!
9. Keep busy in your free time.
Everyone knows that we seem to eat more when we’re bored. So, spend your time on something you are passionate about. Read, listen to music, meditate and go out with your friends... Whatever you do, get out and enjoy!
To feel well, start by loving yourself just as you are. Being a Victoria’s Secret angel is by no means a real objective and reaching this is not your goal. Your goal is to enjoy your life to the max with awareness and work on your mindfulness.
