In the Blue Spa we have no secrets. That is why we want to share with you all our day to day and our experiences, so that you can get to know the individuals in the Blue Spa team. We are delighted to share with you our personal philosophy of wellness, health and lifestyle, and our professional desire to become better each day at what we do. To do this, over the coming weeks, we will post interviews with members of our Blue Spa team here on the Blog of Artiem Hotels. Presenting the first smile of the Blue Spa... Maite, the life of a mum-to-be at the Blue Spa. Today we want to share with you the experience of one of our therapists at the Blue Spa, who is experiencing one of the most important stages of her life. Maite López García, after travelling around the world and acquiring extensive knowledge and experience as a therapist, is about to become a mum for the first time.  -While already in your eighth month of pregnancy, how do you face your day to day at the Blue Spa? The truth is that I am taking it very well because luckily, it is still not very hot in Menorca. Why I'm not noticing much heaviness in the legs, every day I try to put my legs in the 12º pool that we have at the Spa, to activate the blood circulation and relieve a lot of tiredness throughout the day.  -How you think that it has changed your way of life during these months waiting for your baby? I notice I need more sleep and get a little bit more tired. Yet every day I try to go for a walk and I continue with my usual routine of stretching and yoga, although now I adapt to my situation and I've switched to yoga to pre-mamas. Pre-birth yoga is recommended as it teaches you to breathe properly at the time of childbirth, and helps us to eliminate stress and not to lose flexibility. In addition, I continue with my completely healthy, vegetarian diet even during pregnancy if followed properly. -Which products are using for your personal care during these months? As I have always used only natural products, I have not had that much change in my habits in terms of personal care, except for some points. For example, I have stopped using some essential oils, since some are contraindicated during pregnancy.
I recommend completely Rosehip Oil and Balsam to prevent stretch marks as well as Lemongrass Bath Oil  for tired feet and Rosemary Leg and Arm Toner for heavy legs, all products of Dr. Hauschka.
-What products do you think you will use to care for your baby? I plan to fill the bath with warm water and add Dr Hauschka's Moor Lavender Body Oil, which smells divine and is especially recommended for babies as well as for the whole family. It is relaxing and relieves sensitive skin and redness.
After the bath, the two will hydrate ourselves with the Rose Body Oil, taking the opportunity to do a massage to him before sleeping, strenghtening our bond between mother and son. - What treatments would you recommend for pregnant visitors who want to relax in our Blue Spa?
For pregnant women and mothers we have at the Blue Spa a very special package, called Yummy Mummy. It includes a mini Spa circuit with only the water zone, a customized massage, a facial and a manicure or pedicure express. Both a relaxing massage for legs or the head and face massage are also highly recommended to relieve tension and relax. Gracias Maite!
