Mahón, 21 December 2017. Starting January 2018, Artiem Fresh People Hotels will operate the Bal Hotel Spa Business & Leisure, in Quintueles, Asturias. The Menorcan hotel group has chosen a luxury hotel, situated in the midst of nature yet just ten minutes from the heart of Gijón, to begin its expansion into northern Spain.

As well as its location – Asturias perfectly fits the value proposition of Artiem Fresh People Hotels – the chosen five-star establishment has 45 fully equipped rooms, a restaurant (Restaurant Doble Q), bar (Piano Bar), two meeting rooms, a complete spa, gym, three paddle courts, parking and a splendid garden.

All of these features make Bal Hotel Spa Business & Leisure the perfect candidate to join Artiem Fresh People Hotels. Our business philosophy is based on wellness, ecology and fresh people, imbuing the hotels in this Menorcan chain with their own striking personality.

In this sense, the Menorcan group will devote the first year of operation to communicating this value proposition and management model to the staff, who it welcomes as the hotel’s star asset. Meanwhile, it will evaluate whether investments are required to adapt the hotel to the Artiem philosophy. Any such investment measures, or change of hotel name, will not be undertaken until 2019, since ARTIEM will keep on relying on GAT, its current management, thereby ensuring continuity until it is ready to implement its own model.
